Jenny has run local cleaning company Maid Sense for over fifteen years. In 2016 the team noticed that all the bins were really full when guests were arriving which wasn’t going down well with Jenny or her team and not giving them the professional satisfaction they were looking for. Taking the initiative Jenny starting looking for a local company which could come and clear the waste before the new guests arrived. Very quickly she realised there wasn’t such a business.
At the same time in Port Issac, the council wrote to all holiday home owners to tell them they would not be collecting holiday home waste from the..… leaving Port Issac holiday home owners and residents in a state of alarm.
Jenny went straight out, brought a van, applied for a license and was up and running in time for the last collection by the council. The first and only dedicated holiday home collection business in Cornwall.
From there Cornwall Council has rolled out non collection of holiday home waste and Jenny’s collection business as grown from strength to strength. With a young active family, recycling is always at the forefront of the business and all waste collected is recycled or used to create green electricity.
As our reputation for a reliable, flexible service has grown we have been asked to offer our services to more and more businesses across the county, from pubs and restaurants to high street shops. We have increased our fleet of vehicles and staff to accommodate this growth and are happy to offer this service, much the same as we do to our Holiday Home Owners, with flexible pay as you go or regular collections.
We've even brought an enclosed van to ensure that your wedding waste is taken away with the minimum of fuss, noise and disruption to your day, letting you enjoy the moment as long as possible.
